A very simple, very lovely bookmark. A little piece of artwork to keep in your book. A drawing of a little girl sitting on a swing in a springtime woodland. There’s not many leaves on the trees yet. It’s late in the day and the yellows and oranges and pinks are making their way into the sky. It’s a peaceful scene – oh to be swinging on a tree swing right now. Size: 55 x 148mm The tree swing bookmark is printed on heavyweight, textured card that resembles watercolour paper – slightly luxurious, and soft to the touch. I think these bookmarks would be lovely popped inside a greeting card as a wee gift for a bookworm. The girl on the swing is my little girl, curly-haired and fond of a little wander along to the swings after tea (not fond of an early night). ABOUT THE PRODUCTS All our products are designed, manufactured and packaged by hand in the UK. The bookmarks are printed by print.work, a planet-friendly printing company based in Leeds. The paper used for the bookmarks is an FSC® certified board made up of 65% virgin fibres, 20% recycled material and 15% cotton fibres. The original drawings are inspired by the little corner of the world I’m lucky enough to inhabit. I draw in pencil, biro and watercolour, filling my sketchbook with drawings and notes, and working on bigger pencil drawings back in the studio. My work is all about connection: connection with nature, connection with each other.
