Forjas have some of the most incredible old vines and vineyard sites in Europe. The granitic soils give tension and minerality to the wine. The rare grapes give an intriguing array of aromas from herbs, mint, olive, and ripe berries to smokiness and savoury characters. This new vintage of Goliardo Forjas is medium bodied. There are ripe fresh red berries on the palate with a smooth texture, fresh acidity and a long length. Aromas are superb and complex and it is an all round delicious red which would go with anything.
